LOSAP is a Hit Across New Jersey
LOSAP resolutions passed overwhelmingly in dozens of towns across New
Jersey. Following are the voting results from towns with LOSAP Public
questions in Essex, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset & Union Counties. An
additional 27 towns from Bergen and Passaic Counties also passed similar

CEDAR GROVE (separate EMS & Fire):
FIRE: Should the township establish a length of service awards program
for volunteer firefighters at an initial cost of $50,312.50 and a cost
of $28,750 in the subsequent year?
Yes: 2,042 No: 984
EMS: Should the township establish a length of service awards program
for the Cedar Grove Ambulance and Rescue Squad at an initial cost of
$35,937?

Edison (EMS & Fire): Should the township establish a Length of Service
Awards Program for volunteer firefighters and first aid squad members
who serve Edison?
Yes: 16,859 No: 6,586
Garwood (EMS & Fire): Shall the borough be authorized to establish a
Length of Service Awards Program for the volunteer fire department and
first aid squad?

Jefferson Twp: (EMS & Fire): Should the township establish a Length of
Service Awards Program for volunteer firefighters and rescue squad
members who serve the township?
Yes: 5,880 No: 893
Kenilworth (EMS & Fire): Shall the borough be authorized to establish a
Length of Service Awards Program for the volunteer fire department and
rescue squad?

Lincoln Park: (EMS & Fire): Should the borough establish a Length of
Service Awards Program for volunteer first aid and firefighter
organization members who serve the borough?

squad, and rescue and recovery unit who serve the township?

Service Awards Program for the West Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department
for an estimated annual cost of $66,000 per year?
Yes: 3,061 No: 488
NOTE: Neither Chatham Township nor West Caldwell have First Aid Squads
of their own. Chatham Township is covered by the Chatham Emergency
Squad which serves both Chatham Boro and Township. West Caldwell is
covered by the West Essex First Aid Squad which serves Caldwell, Essex
Fells, Fairfield, North Caldwell, and West Caldwell. Both are volunteer
organizations.
